SW Road Race Work Group Women’s Stage Race – 28th & 29th of April

This morning I was sent following message by the organiser of this event which you can enter now on the British Cycling Website

This it to tell you that for the first time in the SW Region there will be a 2 day stage race for women . It is being organised by the SW Road Race Work Group. The race will be on the afternoon of Sat 28th and the morning of Sun 29th April. Stages 1 and 2 will be on the 1.5 km Torbay Velopark in Paignton. The opening stage will be an individual time trial over 3 laps and on ‘standard’ road bikes. The second stage will be a bunch circuit race over 1 hour plus 5 laps.

So the youth and male side do not feel left out James Williams will be organising races for these riders each side of your races

On Sunday we move your race to a HQ at Samford Courtenay. From there the route will go west to link into the 7.4 mile circuit you raced on in 2015. After 7 laps the race returns towards the HQ and the finish. This will give a stage distance of about 54 miles.

If you have stepped back from racing and or you have rusty and dusty wheels then feel free to pass this on as an invitation to any interested parties who might like to support this weekend of racing

For those who want a longer break in the area we have negotiated 20% off caravan and lodges breaks at Beverley Holidays using the offer code ‘BIKE’ when cycling events take place in Torbay.
